From Dodge Motorsports:

ROBBY GORDON (No. 7 Fast Five/SPEED Energy Dodge Charger R/T) Finished 23rd "We had a really good car today until somebody got into me and shoved me into another car. That messed the front end up; it seemed to overheat at that point. We had to pull some tape off which made the car tighter. It was an OK day. We would have rather run better with the movie "Fast Five" on the car. When the No. 2 (Brad Keselowski) had the flat tire, if they (NASCAR) had thrown the caution, we would have been back on the lead lap and there were just a few cars on the lead lap at that time. We would have been in good shape, but overall, it was a good day. That last stop, we pitted a little too early. We pitted under green and the caution came out. That put us two more laps down. We finished 23rd. It could have been a better finish with any luck."

how many times does rob get hit by other guys...
Oh well, one day luck will come
23rd is a good finish for the team --> even got a little TV time. And he didn't tun out of gas :-)
Exactly, can we really ask for more than that ? I have to say that he did much better than I thought he would . I like to be pleasantly surprised. =)
Hey, im not upset.

his run was real good, but seems like luck and cautions are never on his side.
Sometimes you have to make your own luck, and as for the cautions, you never know when or if there will be one. IMO , you shouldn't be spending time hoping for one....

As for where Robby finished, I'll take it , do I wish he could have finished on the lead lap? Yes, but at least he finished the race , which is in its own way, a victory of sorts. On to Texas!
Cant tell me Kevin Harvick didnt have luck with those cautions in the truck race. I understand the make your own luck part...

But More people run into Robby than others run into him
Sometimes it seems like luck follows certain drivers around , but it never seems to last for long. Perhaps our perception is that more people run into Robby than he runs into them , I don't know , simply because I don't spend the time looking at it from that angle. I think it's pretty much a given that someone is going to get run into at any given time at any given race, what a driver does after that happens is what I look at, is he just going to take it and move on, or is he going to get payback, and then move on? Sometimes a driver has to practice self control and wait to get payback. As someone said"revenge is a dish best served cold". Do I agree with that, maybe yes , maybe no..... =)

Is Harvick lucky right now?, yes. Will he stay lucky? Who can say? Do I wish Robby has some of that luck? You bet your ass I do. LOL
I'm very excited for RGM. The attitude of the team today was awesome. If "luck" could of happened like RG said they were looking at a top 15 easy. I think there are really good things to come. Hopefully the team is ready for the short week and another good run under the lights Saturday. Oh and a big shoutout and THANK YOU to TOG for the coverage this weekend. Very cool.
+ 1
No way was NASCAR letting Rob back on the lead lap, 3 times there was a possibility for cautions that didn't come. 3Stooges in the tower.
Yes a good effort. Really good. He was still on the lead lap on lap 300 I think which, when you look at where he qualified was good going.
Another benefit of going to Dodge and being one of only 3 teams...

They always go to him and publish a post race quote!!!
