Charlotte, NC (June 11, 2008) – The No. 7 Jim Beam team is ready to “rock” this weekend at Michigan International Speedway. As part of the weekend’s activities, Kid Rock, multi-platinum superstar, will serve as a special guest of the team, and the No. 7 will sport a new flashy Red Stag by Jim Beam / Kid Rock paint scheme.
Red Stag by Jim Beam – Red Stag is an all-new cherry-infused offspring of the world’s No. 1 selling bourbon. The new product is scheduled to launch in June and is the latest innovation from Beam Global Spirits & Wine Inc. Red Stag by Jim Beam recently announced a partnership with Kid Rock as a headline sponsor of Kid Rock’s 2009 Rock N’ Rebels Tour, which will hit 25 cities across North America this Summer. Kid Rock will kick off the Red Stag by Jim Beam partnership on June 14, when the Detroit native will serve as Grand Marshal of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series LifeLock 400 race at Michigan International Speedway.
Beam Global and Robby Gordon Receive Elite Award – On Thursday, the National Association of Drug Court Professionals (NADCP) and the National Center for DWI Courts (NCDC) awarded the NADCP Ambassador Award to Beam Global Spirits & Wine, Inc., the leading American spirits company and industry leader in the battle against hardcore drunk driving. Gordon was also honored with an Ambassador Award for his continued support of DWI Courts. Since 2007, Beam Global and Robby Gordon have teamed up with NCDC to bring national attention to the effectiveness of DWI Courts in addressing hardcore drunk driving.
Beam Global and Robby Gordon received the award today at the NADCP’s 15th Annual Training Conference held in Anaheim, California. The NADCP Ambassador Award is given to public figures, who have used their celebrity or public position to raise awareness about Drug Courts or DWI Courts. Martin Sheen is also another notable celebrity that received a NADCP Ambassador Award earlier today.
TV and Radio Times – Qualifying is set for Friday, June 12th at 3:00 p.m. (ET) on SPEED, MRN, and Sirius Satellite radio. The 200 laps of racing action begins on Sunday, June 14th at 2:00 p.m. and will be broadcast live on TNT, MRN and Sirius Satellite radio. Kid Rock, special guest of the No. 7 Jim Beam team, will serve as Sunday’s Grand Marshal and will give the 43-car field the command to start their engines.
Appearance Schedule – Robby Gordon will be making several pit stops this weekend before starting Sunday’s 200-lap event. He will be at the Jackson Menards at 3588 Page Ave., Jackson, MI 49203 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, June 12th. Immediately following the Menards appearance, Gordon will be at Jerry’s Pub for a Jim Beam appearance. Jerry’s Pub is located at 650 Egan Highway, Brooklyn. MI 49230. He will also be available for autographs at his souvenir trailer on Sunday at 9:45 a.m.
