I'm sure those are just transport shocks. I believe even back is 2007 NASCAR was issuing rear shocks at the Daytona and Daga's restrictor plate tracks. And I know most teams dont put the race shocks on the cars or trucks when they are being transported from the shop to the track, or when being moved around the shop. Also I doubt RGM would have sold that car with expensive Penske shocks on it.
At Red Horse Racing they had Gabrial shocks on the trucks that were prepped and in the rotation waiting to go to the track. The only two trucks I saw with race shocks on them was the one on the surface plate and the other was on the pull down rig.
in the summer i work in the same building as penske shocks, yes the still did issue restrictor plate shocks in 2007, this does not mean that the specific shocks that are on there are not setup for restrictor plate tracks. nascar issues the shocks to keep a level playing field each weekend, however, if a team so desired they could easily construct and setup and set of nascar shocks to the same specifications
Zoom, my girlfriend just told me "Thank god" when I said "It would be nice, but it's not worth takein the hit on some 401 money".....................Or is it ???
