While watching the Rolex car series race on SPEED TV today, it was mentioned that Robby Gordon will run the grand-am race at Daytona on July 4th, before the cup race later that same evening. So a double-header for Robby Gordon on July 4th. Stay tuned for more details.

*** UPDATE ****

Robby will NOT be running the grand-am race this weekend.

DAMN RIGHT!
Does anyone know if Robby is confirmed for this race? So far I've only heard Kyle Busch and Scott Speed.
it was confirmed on the SPEEDTV broadcast.
thanks :)
Did they confirm a team and co-driver?
sweet.
I would say Robby is going to drive for Spirit of Daytona Racing.

Oh and to the person who said DP cars are real cars. Well sorry to say there not. If you want REAL sports car racing, look at the ALMS, Le Mans Series, or hell DTM Series, WTCC. (if you watch, or know what those racing series are)

DP cars are ugly, and all they are, is a bunch of Nascrap cars, that's made for Road Course's.

Grand-Am Series was better back in the late 90's threw 2002. Those cars were real DP cars. But now, Nascrap owns the series.
Made for road course's what?
The #90 Spirit of Daytona Racing Porsche Coyote does not have drivers listed on the entry list, so you may be right. It's sponsored by Boy Scouts of America. I look forward to seeing Robby drive in this race, but Robby really doesn't strike me as the Boy Scout type, if you know what I mean.
What ever do you mean, he probably has all his badges? Oh, wrong ones. lol
Yeah im shore Robby is good friends with the owner. That was the team he made his last Daytona 24 Hour race. I think it was in 2004.

Also remember back in 2007 (i think), when Robby was running the Busch Seres at Daytona. He was driving the #7 Motorola car during pratice session. It was the first race of the season for the Busch Series. And Robby made contact with the wall. And they report that he took the car to a friends shop near Daytona, to get the car repaired.

Well....im shore that person shop was the Spirit of Daytona Racing. There shop is not that far from Daytona track.
I think the DP cars look pretty cool
