Does anyone know the following question:
Is Robby racing the Glen this year...noticed next sponsored race is BITD?

I didn't even watch....No RG....No dice!
I went fishing, perfect use of the DVR. Catch the last lap somewhere if you can, Kev
@Kevin, Vegas to Reno is Friday, you in?
The Glen was spectacular this year, but it was obvious that RG was not there.... saw a half dozen Speed Energy shirts which was good but we need him around for the road courses at least. NASCAR is losing teams... only 43 teams had to qualify.... only 12 - 15 were capable of actually winning... We'll be back there again next year for sure!
Glad to see Ambrose win at the Glen over Kyle, but miss Robby being in the mix, he and Ambrose had quite a run-in in Canada and were great at the Glen. Just wish Robby wasn't done with NASCRAP - I know they are not fair (how did JJ get ahead in ponts?), but really miss Robby at the NASCAR races.
It was interesting how needsacheck got sponsorship from gennesse beer to run the full race at the glen. it was genny light but the ceam ale would have looked awesome on the #7
I almost wish that I saw the race just to see the Genny Light Toyota (listened to the race while traveling yesterday). Agreed that a Genny Cream green paint scheme would have looked better. However, I would not reccomend mixing it with any variety of Speed Energy.
If they showed Nemachecks car at all, it was brief, and accidental. I watched the whole race, and if I saw it at all, it was only as other cars passed - and I don't recall seeing it even then.
You did miss a great finish to the race though. Actually, the whole race was good, but the finish was spectacular.
All in all not having Robby running in Nascar is very disappointing. Is he ever going to run a full season in Nascar or at least run races he has chances of winning, i.e. road courses, restrictor plates. He has sponsership to run Dakar which has to run at least 3 million for trucks, people and equipment, but the winner only gets 10k. I fail to see how that pays the bills to keep running. Somebody please tell me my head is up my ass or is there soo much money laying in dirt that im not seeing it. All of these dirt races are not shown on mainstream tv, so how are we even suppose to see him at all. I live in Milwaukee and he will never race around here except for Crandon and honestly, not worth the drive to go in a small track for nothing. I would rather watch paint dry and my grass grow. I love watching Robby race, but what is going on?
Toyo Tires sees value in Dakar, etc & they are a huge $$ sponsor to RG.
As for a full season of Nascar again, gonna say no to that, unless the sport gets an influx of new companies throwing big $$ around.
Agree - business is business! NASCAR is all about the marketing of products and to do that is big bucks especially if you want to be a competitive team. If you look at Sunday there were just enough cars there to fill the field. It will get worse and NASCAR will need to bring itself back to earth, just as IRL neeeded to - make it more affordable to let smaller sponsors and teams participate. And as far as payouts to teams - there has to be a minimum of 75% of the laps raced to collect any winnings - NO MORE START AND PARK!
@Bad, by requiring 75% lap complition for any prize money would have the opposite effect. It would kill all the small/single minimum funded teams off. We've covered the purse money vs expenses thing extensively. Look at the Glen purse, how many driver/entry's cover'd their engine lease?
