Nascar.com is reporting that Robby has decided not to run next weekend at New Hampshire because of lack of sponsorship. Robby Gordon Motorsports will be running a car with P.J. Jones only. Is this true!
I am a bit confused by your statement. But it will be the #7. And as stated by TOG this is a stress free weekend for PJ to practice and "race" the car for future weekends (when maybe the 07 will return, no promises)
Just got done watching Sonoma on tape late Sun. night. Great! I just got freebies for Loudon. Glad to see my euphoria lasted all of 20 minutes. WTF? Fan car? I've got $50. Maybe something will break this week. I'm going to go beat the dog...
The difference between a 25th place finish and last is about 50 points or so. You just have to hope that the cars chasing Robby don't make up too much ground next week.
the 7 will be running as the 7 since they are using the 7 points becuase the 07 doesn't have as much points so the 07 can't be running as the 7, the 07 and the 7 are completely separate.
As sad as it is to not see RG run at NH this weekend it comes at no suprise to me. It was only a matter of time before this happened. Before the season even started RG said that he wouldn't be running all of the races this year. With the lack of sponsors this year for him it doesn't help pay the bills. I have been to several races this year and it's sad to even see empty sections of seats at the track on Sundays. So not only is it hard for a guy like RG to not run a race throughout the season it's hard on the tracks and Nascar to not sell out as well. Hope he runs Richmond and Dega this fall so I have someone to listen to when at the races!
TOG Just wondering, how much does a primary sponsor have to contribute for one race? Not that I have the means or anything, but maybe the almost 10,000 strong loyal members of Planet Robby could contribute and Planet Robby could be the sponsor??? Kind of off the wall, but a thought. Could potentially get a lot of press. Robby's fans love him so much they sponsor him.
