That wouldn't seem like a good strategy to attract sponsors.
Green to checkers all the races.
Do we have official word on whether JB will be on the Homestead car? Jayski has it listed but Jim Beam's site doesn't. I'll be at the Homestead race and just wondering if I'll have one last chance to see the Jim Beam Toyota. One good thing about that race.... season finale and with all the sponsor, team and manufacturer changes, gear is cheap!
does this mean that jim beam wont sponser indy cars anymore?
It sounds like that from the wording of the press release. We'll have to wait and see, I suppose.
LOL!!! Lets see...go to Homestead and run 35th...or go ROCK the B1K and win a CHAMPIONSHIP. RG's a WINNER and he's going to solo the B1K and bring home the championship. It's been way too long since RG's had a #1 on one of his racecars.
The B1K is only 631 miles this year...he ain't getting out of that truck.
Thats correct Bryan, JB as a brand is out of motorsports all together.
JB's press release didn't actually say that. Saw its entirety on their Facebook page. "The company plans to focus its marketing resources for Jim Beam into other platforms that directly impact the end consumer." Now what can be more of a direct impact than all of us drowning our sorrows after being wrecked, equipment failure, fuel mileage, etc.?

Even more disturbing are the comments their fans left on their FB page. A handful shared our feelings, way too many were happy with the decision.
well 2010 will certainly be interesting
