Ok... So the SST Facebook page blew up with people calling the broadcast the "beginning of the end" of SST because viewers tuned in to see monster trucks... and they were only covered for about 30 seconds. Thoughts???

Any chance NBC might rebroadcast this episode between now and LA? It couldn't hurt attendence and future viewership

It's a tough call. I know MT's are huge and a lot of people love Big Foot... which has largely been absent from TV due to all of the backstory & political BS with Monster Jam. What do you cut back on to make more room for MTs on the broadcast?

You cut back nothing. If they have a problem with it they can design and build a fleet of race trucks, put together a series and get a Major network to air it...or you write to NBC and ask them to expand there coverage longer and include more of the other class's.

I totally agree... I was just amazed by the number of people that were on the ledge already just because they didn't show more of the Monster Trucks. I understand why, but they have to understand that the other races leading up to the SST main are supporting series. In an hour broadcast, you really have to pick & choose what you're going to show.

As the series grows, there may be room for the TV package to expand to 90 minutes which would allow for a little more coverage. But for now, I'm just happy that the series is on Network TV.

that's exactly it. there's only so much time when you have a specific time slot. the focus of the event is SST, not MT or the buggies.

don't get me wrong, they are cool and I'm glad to see a couple highlights, but not the product that needs to be put out there, yet....

As things continue to grow, and more time is allotted on TV, I can see more of the other events getting coverage, but now? Gotta get the SST concept out to people.

I would've loved to see some more in-truck cameras from some of the other drivers and some more interviews and "behind the scenes" stuff... but hey.. they only had an hour.

Overall, NBC did a pretty good job. Things are only getting better from here.

SST is the main focus...more bumpin and bangin. Can beat those trucks up...Monster trucks are a bonus. Love those kids in the buggies....great begining!
