Sears Point Preparation

Howdy to TOG et al
Just wondering how the preparation is going for the RoadCourse races this year. Is the team bringing a new car, are there tests scheduled @ VIR,, Pit Crew practicing etc etc. Any insight would be appreciated.

Apologies if this has been discussed previously.

I bet he brings two cars (one for insurance), and will race the race! Any takers?

That would be nice but I don't think they ever recovered from KImi's trashed CUP car. Meaning RGM doesn't really have a competive backup car. It sure would be interesting to see Mr. Lofton behind the wheel of a second car...

Sure they recovered.

Kimis testing car ( RG primary at Infineon in 2011 ) was converted to the Nationwide car used at Montreal in 2011 ( and also for the upcoming 2012 race ) . Robby built a BRAND NEW car for Watkins Glen in 2011 - which means the Infineon race will be start #2 for that chassis. Nice n broken in, will be MUCH BETTER this year.

I hope that RG only enters 1 car at Infineon. Its a small team - employee wise on the cup side & RG wants to win at Infineon. Total focus on 1 car. FYI per KW, Mapei is on the car at Infineon.

If the car starts he will qualify. I have no doubt. F'ing gas on. And if I had the means I would be at the race.

TOG,

Will the souvy truck be there? Will there be a second car for PJ? Will Gene come back to crew chief? Will there be a third Hummer at Dakar? Will RG drive for Childress next year? Will Will Will Will..................damn that felt good, just bustin balls, I miss seeing RG race on Sundays, hope all is well with you TOG............damn it seems so long ago when I got on that old Hooters Air 737 and did the double with all RG's fans, ah the good old days.

Not to jinx, but me thinks RG Q's top 10 at "What ever they call it now raceway" and takes the checkered with a speed in his hand and smiles like you never saw him smile before...............
