The first 10 races 2008 was better, but the last 8 races this year has been a HUGE improvement. The only thing the hurt over the last 8 races was the deal at Sanoma & Accident at Dover.

After Race 18 in 2008 Owner Points 31st 1,484 points (+16 points)
After Race 18 in 2009 Owner Points 34th, 1,468 points
If not for the rear-end housing penalty, he'd be up 34 points from last year, and in 31st in owner standings.
Good point on the penalty (-50 points), so this year is slightly ahead of last year. Biggest difference this year is tire issues...haven't heard Robby complaining about lack of horespower much this year, but tire wear and fuel mileage still rears it's ugly head. Just curious if the bad fuel mileage comes from Robby's driving style? At Sonoma he had terrible fuel mileage again...even some Dodges got better mileage. I know they worked on it a ton. but still continues to be an issue...has to be driving style related.

I think Kirk has had some great calls and some not so great, but love the communication & Doug added makes it even better. They just gotta keep Robby driving the car, and less override on the calls. I really wish Robby would go back and listen to his scanner replays and see that alot of "His Calls" rarely turn out good, as far as setups. Taking & not taking tires don't usually hurt, but when he starts calling for track bar adjustments and wedge, he goes overboard.

Overall, I think the team is headed in the right direction!
We know Robby has talent but it takes, talent, team and a strong stead to win a car race. I think RGM is lacking in the team and stead department. We see it at the track with bad calls and with cars that just can't run better then the high teens. That is why he remains stuck at the bottom of top 35 year after year.

To expand the franchise and develop a name like Childress, RGM needs to pick it up and start running up front. Else RGM will be another Furniture Row with no real name recognition.
I don't remember Childress as an owner doing much. Success started when he hired Dale and got the big dollar sponsors.
If we had the 3 similar RP results...Id thnk we'd be a cheerier bunch these days.

The results do not necessarily show it, but our intermediate stuff is MUCH better this year...
Just keep going after it and things will keep getting better. It just takes time.
Over all the car has run much beter, move tv time than last year, take away the pit problems and he be higher is the standings.
In 2008 we were much closer to the outside top 35 mark then we are now. Then we had a little over 100 point lead now we have a 305 point lead. So id rather be in this years position.
HAD HIGHER HOPES FOR BOTH YEARS BUT THAT IS RACING I THINK THIS YEAR IS MUCH IMPROVED JUST KEEP HAVING BAD LUCK SOME SAY I WOULD RATHER BE LUCKY THEN GOOD WELL NOW I AGREE WITH THAT
You said it for me well done.
