Here's my prediction - Robby will run NASCAR! It pay the bills and keeps his name in the lights. One Indy race will not help his energy drink business. Look at this years Indy winner. One race, one big pay day and gone. By the way, who won the Indy 500 this year?
Dan Wheldon in a Bryan Herta Motorsports entry because JR Hildenbrand knocked down the turn 4 wall on the last lap.
Winning Indy makes you a legend. It may not sell energy drinks, but I bet Robby would love to be on that Borg-Warner Trophy.
Fuck Yes, he would. But at what cost?
It's not that Wheldon can't get a ride.....he is just not willing to jump into a crap ride.....He is a primadona for sure, but a helluva race car driver.......Wheldon could race every weekend if he wanted to, if he runs, he wants to be in equipment that can win...
@Chuck,DAKAR is the start the 2012 racing season, the plan is in motion.Indy who knows it's way to early.Cup, you wouldn't acquire an engine inventory if you where planning on closing the doors!
How about we get though the 2011 season!
My question is does he keep the number 7 or take big bucks to let shr and Danica take it?
hell let Danica have it, it's just a number.

The number should be the least of our worries.
That rumor was already shot down weeks ago . I know cause I brought it up too and was sent to the principals office to get 20 lashes from TOG NIKAL and TOOLTIME
ROTFLMAO
Just a number? I think not...
well I think yes. you know how much car numbers mean in Formula one? zip, zero, none. in Indycar? None.

it seems like NASCAR is the only series in which a number defines who a driver is and what they are about, and I think that's wrong. Ok it's cool that Alan Kulwicki drove the #7 but guess what so did Jimmy Spencer...

and it wouldn't bother me if someone drove with the #3 again.
& it's cool that you have an opinion Derrick, but that doesnt mean it to be fact. Heres 2 facts for you.1.RG is not giving up the 7, &2. He will have a Cup program next year. Who's in the 7, what's the driver for the 77, & crew chief...I dont know. Thats all yet to be seen, stay tuned.

Oh & this Ironhead loyal is preparing himself to see Austin Dillon claim whats rightfully his sooner than later. It aint gonna be easy, but the kid has spent his whole life earning it.
I will be extremely mad if RG doesn't give up the #7 if Danica wants it. He has said that RGM is a Marketing Company first and a Racing Company 2nd many times. If he passes up an opportunity for a pay day it makes no sense. He will be going against his own word.
