Indy Start time - All the discussions seem to be around whether Indy will move their start time....couldn't Nascar go in with "we'll move a half hour back if you move a half hour earlier....and be done? Seems like everyone would benefit and no one would lose. I can't imagine ANYONE wants overlaps
Rain - why can't we run in the rain? is a rain tire and wipers really that big of a curve ball to the teams? I understand it would change the race...but, maybe for the better.
Testing - why don't we just eliminate it all together?
Tires - couldn't we really help the teams financially if we limited the number of sets available for race day?
Cars - does anyone miss the days when the manufacturers had to run a car they produced? I understand performance and safety have improved...but my connection to the sport has been severed with a chainsaw. I know the rules have tightened up competition; but, they aren't highlighting any manufacturer. I wonder how the drivers feel about this?
Fuel Mileage - all race lengths should be adjusted so that beginning strategy doesn't focus on fuel mileage. Watching fuel savings isn't exciting or even vaguely interesting. I see this every day on my commute.
Over the Wall Crews - I am unbelieveably impressed with a 14 second pit stop....BUT, would a 20 second stop change the race for me? No - and Nascar could further limit the number of over the wallers helping save money for teams. (maybe) Heck - go to 2. Safety might improve too.
Gillette Young Guns - I'm not impressed Joey Logano has a close shave. I'm not even sure he needs to shave. Get some 40+ year olds out there that have eyebrow, nose, ear and REAL stubble problems...let's see how they clean up - that would be impressive.
What in THE HELL is wrong with Carrot Top. Man that guy is creepy.
Maybe we should do away with qualifying - pursuant to the eliminate testing question above....everyone works on race set up and draws for their starting spot. On a business side, this would give a lot more exposure to other cars in the field as the point front runners moved through the field.
Why don't we have more road courses? I know it's hard for the fans, hell - I went to Sonoma last year and hated it, but these tracks are there and we could really shake up the series by having 5 or 6 of them and certainly 1 in the chase.
Ah well, I'm sure some these are controversial - I'd be interested your thoughts
