Stephane Peterhansel Talks About Robby Gordon, Dakar 2014

From the German website, Motorsport-magazin.com , Stephane Peterhansel talks briefly about Robby Gordon.

(Translated as best as possible)

Your rival Robby Gordon also restarts at the Dakar. What do you expect from him?

Stéphane Peterhansel : I know that Robby Gordon takes up with a different concept of his car this time . But this I do not have too much information.

In recent years it went on between the two of you from time to time. Does the Dakar require such stories , also with regard to the media coverage ?

Stéphane Peterhansel : I realize that the media loves drivers such as Robby Gordon & the need for good stories . The problem with this, In the Dakar , there are clear rules for years. Not all other drivers adhere to the regulations , only he annoys me. That's not fair for the others. The second winner is the first loser . For me, the only goal is victory.

Is it you at all important that Robby Gordon participates again in the Dakar ?

Stéphane Peterhansel :
I do not honestly care if he is or not.

Now that's what I call sportsmanship ! I mean really, where has it gone with this fellow ?

Good old Mr. frenchie fair play himself ..oh and the other 10 or 11 cars on that team also
,,yea yea no team orders

time to kick some ass 2014

there is a reason frenchi drive a mini. minis are for girls

Meh, Gordon must have ticked him off in some fashion. It is what it is. Peterhansel is a fair competitor and will do what he does. Same goes for Gordon.

None of this Mr. Frenchie stuff, please. No one nation should be belittled as such.

Tell the biker that the prick ran over in the river that the prick is a fair competitor!
And no that is not the only one that peterhansel has upset over the years.

If there is one sore sport I do hold with Peterhansel it is that one, but in most cases he does make amends. I can't speak for the others though.

What piss's him off is an American independent in a non-factory vehicle kicking his Ass!

It wouldn't piss him off if what you said, happened. He doesn't care about the nationality or the factory status of the driver involved, it's just the overall rules-set, and he feels Robby's interpretation was a bit too gray.

Not that I agree with him, but it is what it is.

Then why is it that's it's only Robby he finds this way not any of the others that play in the gray area?

the others are all teammates and not American,IMO
