A lot of winning in desert racing is luck. Sometime you have good and sometime you have bad. Robby is in one of those slumps.
He is NOT building a new truck. Robby likes his truck. What happened this time with the shock was not a shock failure from use but the shock broke because of a flat and then when the truck ride height was low and running on the flat he smacked a huge rock with the trailing arm causing the trailing arm to twist and snap the shock shaft at the rod end. He had all that fixed then the starter was hot and would turn the engine over. He said he knew better then that and should never shut the engine down. Life goes on. On to the Baja 500 where he will win or break.
The Geiser-buster post. well done , fly !
Never mind! Fly's post basically stated what I was saying!
LOL
Why is that every time a part breaks on the TT there are people saying he needs to build a new one? Parts break, shit happens that is beyond Robby's control, why can't people just accept that and move on ?
@Sherri,it's alway easier to second guess from the couch.
Exactly Sherri
At San Felipe its such a short race, they have to go balls out the whole time. The 500 has alot mountain, single track section that you pace your self. The real racing starts in San Felipe, or Borrego. San Felipe is a wreckers or Checker for sure.
If rgor was to build a new tt. It would take a lot of time to dial it in meaning he probably would not win the first few years and the same people would say the truck sucks. It is top of its class. Just how it goes in baja.
IS IT TRUE THE HUMMER IS GONE AND ROBBY HAS A JEEP FOR DAKAR 2012 THATS WAS THE RUMER IN MEXICO
