I'm New to the offroad desert stuff, talk Rubicon thats me but Desert stuff? . I plan to make it to Primm this year and maybe more events in the future. Desert racing seems to me, to be more fan friendly as well as Family inspired. Either way hope to see RGOR in action...
Fly actually had a very interesting proposal years back about using a shamrock type of course. It would make viewing better, chasing easier and responding to emergencies MUCH faster.
Rumor has it that RGOR is building a new TT based on the Dodge Durango. It will be powered by a 1200HP Hemi, get 22MPG and use only 1 massive shock with a unique, Fly designed, cantilever lever system to control the suspension of all 4 wheels and act as a total vehicle sway bar system to completely eliminate body roll.
Rumor also has it the design will include 7 seats and a small trailer. The 5 rear seats will hold his pit crew, be air conditioned and have an on board entertainment system designed to keep them rested and refreshed. The trailer will carry all the spare parts and fuel needed and a pit box identical to his Nascar box so Robby can supervise his own pit stops.
An unforseen but lucrative bonus is there will be no need to have chase trucks or other support vehicles as the on board crew and trailer will be able to fully support Robby's racing efforts without Robby having to beg gas from other teams. Meeting the approval of every other team in the desert.
Additionally I heard ASO was going to allow him to race it in Dakar 2012 with no restrictions in exchange for a case of Speed.
I heard the wheels are meerly ornimental as it has a hover conversion that was done by Goldie Wilson in 2015. All possible because of the on board flux capicitor...that runs on SPEED Unleaded.
damn Mike.....I heard THE EXACT SAME THING...........cept my source said it ran on the Octane not the Unleaded.....we'll have to get to the bottom of this....
Well Dodge put the Mopar Ram Runner out last year. I dont know much details about it. I do know it's purpose was to compete against the Ford Rapter SVT. The looks of the Mopar Ram Runner are... ok. Im sure the performance of it, is good. Now comparing both the Mopar Ram Runner and the Ford Rapter SVT is something I would pay to see.
