Tire tests

Just curious as to why Robby does not get asked to tire test much. Can he decline the test? Are the teams compensated for the tests? Is Nascar obligated to spread testing evenly among teams? Thanks for your responses.

Tests are definitely spread out. He was aksed last year for Atlanta but had a conflict.

But with so many mega teams, usually at least one driver from each of them (but not always but it does seem that way...lol)) gets selected, and obviously that benefits the rest of their teams, too.

But Nascar always asks one car from each manufacturer to test. So with Ford, since Rousch pretty much has the monopoly there, usually had a driver picked for a tire test

I would think if you was going to pick RG for a tire test.....you would choose a road course! JB
