Im glad Rob's back in the car this weekend for Daytona... I hope he starts or races he's way

up front and stays there. The riding around in circles off the tail of the pack and pushing hard

with ten laps to go is just not working me or for a potential sponsor. I understand stradegy but come on..... The 7 car has horsepower and Rob knows how to get around Daytona so im hoping for a top 5 this weekend for RGM.

Maybe they will do that dance that was on the UTube video on Bobby Labonte and his posse!
First off that movie was garbage (shake and sleep) maybe i'm too far north. In the end a DRAFTING PARTNER is what we lack. As far as running up front back when, it was swap time, we had our shot, but we need a PARTNER nothing less.
I love Crepes
Robby should stay in the back and let the front runners hit the pot holes......I still can't understand how it is going to cost 20 million to re-pave the track!
Paving costs are through the roof. Our road infrastructure in the US is stupid expensive. Asphalt costs are $75 a ton right now and the plan for Daytona calls for 50,000 tons. That means the asphalt cost alone, with no labor, no base work, no nothing else is $4million. You can figure your labor costs will be 40%. So you're at almost $6million just to lay the surface. Mobilization, ie moving people and equipment, will run about 6%, so there's $250K right there and we've not got into any tearup of the existing surface, teardown of the existing fences and lighting, no base work, no constructing new catch fencing and lighting, no nothing. Then add building the jersey barriers/walls back at $50 a linear foot and you need about 20,000 feet. Then new SAFER barriers in front of the jersey walls will total about $2Million. It starts to add up on a project like this. :)
wow, you sound like you know your asphalt
Thanks. I now understand how it will cost 20 million.
Huh?
Got that right MEEEEE. When it comes down to it, I like a quote from Mike Skinner after winning a race one time and the reporter was questioning his rough driving and the way he won the race etc.. He said "I'd knock my Momma out the way to win a race". I always liked that.
Who wouldn't remember that clip. Love to see that car out front. Thanks TOG!
