After watching a Nationwide race earlier in the year which was sponsored by ToyoTires I think NASCAR should let ToyoTires sponsor Robby Gordon and I'm sure they would have no problem with doing that.

Heres a twist for ya... Goodyear will go BK in two years. The have heavy debt that will come due in 2011. Yahoo business ranks them as being in the top ten big companies going away by the end of 2011 or sooner. Sales are down and bank notes are due. It is very possible another tire company could make its way into crapcar. More than likely it would be Firestone. But you never know....
Goodyear has too big a name to just disappear. Even if they do file for bankruptcy, another tiremaker will scoop up the biz and the name. That new owner will have the rights to the exclusive NASCAR deal. Who knows how it would all go down, but it would surprise me if there wasn't some dealing going on at the time to either preserve those rights or sell them for a good profit.

Yes, exactly. It was just confused that ESPN's "Race Off Pit Lane" coverage or whatever is sponsored by Toyo...Toyo gives no money or support in any way, shape, or form to NASCAR at any level. Thus, NASCAR will shit on them. Figuratively speaking, of course.

Everybody forgets its a business. Its about the bottom line. Do you know how many major companies have gone away in the past two years? Nascar has no control over Goodyear other than a contract which means nothing when your BK. Bailout? Forget about it. Yes they would most likely be swallowed up by another tire company. The financials dont lie. I hear korea makes a cost effective tire...Ha! The landscape is a changing folks!
