Not sure quite yet, but noticed on Nascar.com new updated web page under the Bud Shootout Practice Leaderboard and Cup Series Practice Leaderboard that scanner is listed as an option now.

I hope they've added this feature for 2009. I really think it would be better for fans to listen to the driver & crews communicate during practices also.

If you haven't ever listened to trackpass during a race, I can say it makes things alot more interesting. You can get a 14-day free trial to try it. I highly recommend trying it.

(CAUTION: WHILE LISTENING TO ROBBY GORDON YOU MIGHT BE EXPOSED TO UNCENSORED LANGUAGE)

Robby's Scanner is pure entertainment haha. From threatening to throw his spotter off the roof of the spotter stand, to cheering when JPM wrecks. Gotta love it all.
I enjoy it alot, but recommend ear phones, the last time I played it on speaker I had to make a dash for the mute button...F-BOMBS were dropping like crazy!
Mine cuts out when they start cussing. anyway to avoid them cutting out the good stuff?
This should have been in place many years ago.
TOG do you know if NASCAR sensors the scanner?
RGM should block the scanner....too many of his fans get all freaked out about what he has to say and start making false acquisitions just by RG "tone" on the radio
Ain't that the truth. But, I wouldn't want RG's channel blocked...I just like listening to RG's channel to see what is going on with the car.
What FUN would sensoring the scanners be?, lol
My thoughts exactly. But when they do cuss nascar.com tries to block some of it
You would think they could since the green falg drops about 15 seconds before they go green on the leaderboard on Nascar.com (that's a huge delay)
yep. that is why the scanner goes silent when somebody starts to go off
Actually... I've always found that trackpass is ahead of the TV.. When ever a caution come out, Trackpass shows before the T.V. does.
