It sounds like Robby may not be running the full cup schedule, and that may disappoint alot of Robby's hardcore nascar fans. But what he plans on doing during his "off-weeks" has me absolutely excited. Robby says he is looking hard at running the Indy 500!! That alone would be awesome. But add in running the X-games rally race, building and (hopefully) running a monster truck, and running the Baja 500 & 1000. That is unbelievable. I am definitely looking forward to what 2010 will bring us as Robby Gordon fans, and I think it was worth the wait. What do you think??

yeah, you know, whatever works....I bet theres some fantastic dunes on mars
Robby is buying a Monster Truck from a top builder. He ain't messing around.

The Rear wheel drive Hummer is going to be out of this world. Like nothing before. Imagine The Monster, Ivan's truck and a Formula 1 car all colliding at 200mph in a three way intersection.
Do tell Fly.........What more can you do to the Hummer that has not been done to give him a advantage over the VW's ? Turbo Diesel.

We have..... Shack Diesel...Diesel weasel...... How about "Rob Diesel"
Yes do tell fly, after all your pre dakar prediction on the success the hummer in the dune, why our 2wd beast could not keep up with hummers.
Well if what Fly says is what Robby is looking to build for next years Dakar, then I would have to think they are looking at a mid engine platform with a rear arm set-up, not trailing arm like it is currently. I would think trying to make the rear right a-arm be the same as the front left a-arm would have to be considered as this would make having spares down to two different arms vs four that have to now be carried. This design would probably loose a few inch of wheel travel, but the handling on the rally car sections of the course would more then make up for it.

I'm I getting warm Fly?

Here are pictures of the PPI Toyota that Ivan drove. This truck was way a head of its time.

Half warm... But even Ivans truck will look out dated after this deal.
Won a stage.... AIR ISSUES, ALT ISSUES, NAV ISSUES
It ain't ever ever going to be a fucking diesel.
A course not, half of the allure for the locals watching (In a spanish accent) Robby Gordon! Robby Gordon Monster! come threw is the distinct sound a Monster American V8 has over the VW diesels.

Even if Robby never finishes better then 3rd, he will always be more popular to the locals over someone like Mark Miller. The size and sound of the Hummer draws them in and then the visual of seeing him sideways makes a lasting impression. Also show boating and doing Donuts or as they call them Circles makes seeing Robby Gordon! just that more exciting. Look at all the You-Tubes of Robby doing burnouts and donuts, they love it!
Row-bee Goard own.....! Row-bee Goard own..... !
No mention of Prelude to the Dream race. Sounds like 2010 will be full of surprises.
Tony sends invites to that. You don't just decide to show up.
