Does anyone know what happened to make Robby go 2 laps down? He was running on the lead lap racing with Paul Menard green flag pits started and then he goes two laps down but still racing with the same people.........

I believe he siffered a flat front left shortly after the 2nd round of green flag stops on that early long run...which did the trick....
There is no way in hell the telecast can catch every little detail of the race. I liked the coverage, thought it was
fantastic. They even did a field run down when RG was running 30th and showed footage of him.
I agree. The TNT crew always does a great job!!
TNT did ignore Joonyer for most of the race... ya gotta love that.

Now if they could do something about Weber's voice..... like nails across the chalk board.
Race Buddy had the battle cam on Robby for about three laps racing the 6
disappointed in the coverage, but was better than fox....disagree on catching every detail TOG, they even missed the 55 spinning entering the pits for the 2nd time. had to show a computer animation of it.Btw, how does the 55 spin out twice in the pits and beat us by 14 positions?? And why can't we pass lead lap cars saving gas at the end of the race???
Uh, if it was any other track and the cars ran out of gas, then he would have made up many spots. But because it takes over 55 seconds to complete a lap, it was just too far a defecit to overcome to pick up the additional spots. Robby's main focus this weekend was The Baja 500 , and he won it. Travis would not have finished any higher than Robby. On to Michigan.
There is a reason... but I forgot what it is.
family obligations I thought were the reason DW only works half a season on Speed. Made it sound the first couple of years he retired that this second half of the year is used to take family vacations and be at home.
I'm sure it's money. He's already there for the Fox races so why not do a little extra but the rest of the year he probably doesn't want to bother.
Robby beaded the front left shortly after leaving his pit stop... whether the tire was actually too low to begin with or he didn't allow the pressure to build up is up for discussion.

Pre-race TNT ran some scanner chatter from Tony's CC reminding the crew about minimum tire pressures so GOODYEAR did have some guidelines.
TNT's coverage was pretty good, but MAN the announcers were BORING at the beginning of the race. Towards the end of the race they were more anitmated, but it was a snoozefest for the first 100+. Granted, not much happened after the 11 had its issues but it was like listening to the announcers call a golf game. At least the guys on Fox would get excited about cars racing and bumping each other. I did like the "through the field" coverage though. I would like to hear Mike Bagley, Dave Moody and the guys from Sirius call a race on TV. That would be great!
