That's Cool About All The Monster Fans And RG Coming Out With Them . Nice To Hear .
sweet news TOG, only if Jim Beam couldd stuck around for a few moments like that.

Look at Vickers and Speed, Vickers is cool, but speed is a moron,

And Bring on Sonoma.....
The saying goes 'you can't fight city hall' unfortunately all of this does stink and certainly appears a deliberate attempt to push RGM around. Really though, there's nothing quite like success on the race track to offset some of the bullying and office politics here. Robby needs to try and string together a few solid, clean weekends. That will make it harder for the NASCLOWNS to single him out for more of the same. Robby likes Atlanta and he's way past due some good luck.
Obviously the article is a bit out there and perhaps strians credulity...but for the sake of counterpoints playing Devil's advocate.....

as TOG noted..if Nascar wants the #7 for Danica, that is a long way off and Robby will be well comepnsated for it...

well...not if RGM were to fall out of the top 35. That would be a death knell for the team as I do not see RGM surviving as a non locked in team. Thus the 7 goes back to Nascar and I am pretty sure NO ONE will be allowed to get that number until Miss Pretty Pants arrives....and it can be all done under the guise of rules and inspections and no one can say BOO to Nascar. For example, Nascar comes up with a lame and valid excuse for inspecting the 66....but it was pretty obvious the intent of doing so (making a statment to S&Ps who try to run TWO cars). But no one ever calls them out on it or presses the issue. And then Darby and the smucks sit ther with smug looks on their faces and spout off some rules and procedures BS to justify their actions

Others say she'll never make it to Cup...

wellI I do agree I do not think she'll ever have thr true talent level, but hey if teams can suffer with the likes of JJ Yeley and David Stremme driving their cars to 35th place finishes, someone will take that with Danica...but also make millions off of her.,..the $$ is too big, she will be in CUP, deservedly or not, eventually.

And for what it is worth, I emailed the author asking whether the email quotes are from a disgruntled fan or a reliable source (someone who works for Nascar or RGM on the basis of anonymity), and the author stated to me,

"The e-mail quotes are from a very valid source. Extremely valid"

I give him the benefit of the doubt that he did get those quotes from someone who may have some inside information. Who I cannot give the benefit of the doubt to is the source who may have been smoking the aforementioned joints being passed in this thread....lol.

But I do not doubt the authors sincereity or his true belief in the words he wrote, regardless if they are misguided or not,.
Here is another possibility. How about Amp not wanting Monster gaining any ground in NASCAR. I'm sure if Hendrick said Junior's sponsor was whining about another energy drink, Helton would get right on it!!!
So are you saying ,because the 36 had booty on the hood and not" Wave drink thing" Nascar let Bliss put it in the wall ? On TV?
True or not, it's something that very well could happen. And that scares me even more. As one who once held aspirations of becoming a sportswriter, I can tell you with first hand knowledge that it's extremely rare to find integrity in the field. They'll write anything they can dream up in hopes of getting attention. Even if this guy did merely dream it up, who's to say a nascar official can't do the same?

I'm not of the conspiracy theory crowd so don't believe it's personal against RG. I don't think they would treat him any different than any other one car team, trying to eradicate them all. Not much different from NFL or NBA where games are won and lost in Vegas rather than the playing field. Only here they're dictated by satan in the guise of hendrick. Ironic that they also chose Vegas as the scene.
True..Nascar is always on the straight..they didn't falsify drug tests against Tim RIchmond or anything to get him out of the sport...lol.

One should never use Nascar and integrity in the same sentence...
Top 15 finishes will cure all that ills the team. Lets get Larry, Ian, and Jay all over this thing and get it turned around. Top
35 is right around the corner and RGM needs to get south of 30th in points now. Everyone needs to man up, look themselves in the mirror and do the best job they can do to support the team. Sponsorship is hard now let alone not being in the top 35. Finally screw AMP, go Monster.
This is funny, since Morgan-McClure, which I believe has run one race in the last three years, still was able to block Stewart-Haas from using the No. 4 with Ryan Newman.

Even if RGM dropped down to a part-time schedule, RG could show up once a year with the 7 and still keep it for himself -- according to NASCAR's rules. And NASCAR wouldn't break its own rules, would they?

I think this is more about running out the little guys than it is the No. 7.
