I seen alot of Robby fans at the Glen last year but I don't know if they where Planet Robby members. I hope this list gets to be a long one. Who's got the beer pong table?
the question is, is anybody who is going to the track , going to "twitter" stuff from the weekend there? Its nice to get a few folks located at different areas of the track to give updates as the weekend progresses, from their perspective.
I'm going to get a txt plan so I can give scanner updates for the practices and N.W. race if he is in it. I will also send some low quility phone pic's. Inbox me on what info to give you and I'll do it before I go. I set up a twitter acount just for this a few weeks ago. I have all good intentions but don't know what will happen after a bottle or two of Beam.
You guys can follow me on Twitter I will try to post some updates. I dont have a camera phone so no pics but I can give updates. Twitter name is Goody10210.
I will be there, I am usually there from Tuesday to Sunday but I will be doing a Goodyear Tire Test at Dover till Wednesday so I wont make it up till Thursday. I camp in the inner loop, near the inner most part of the loop right where it starts to head back out, look for the black and green #7 flag, ask for Marty
There are a couple videos of the Jim Beam street legal car running the old road course, someone put on here a month or so ago in the general discussion forum. It shows the rural landscape, and the car coming into town. Should try to find it and get it back on the front forum page for anyone interested in the history of the Glen.
Road courses rule. I wish they'd run the boot for the cup race.
Yes the BOOT! Don't recall why not but wether it is the amount of fans thing or a speed thing I don't know. So why is the boot off? Maybe the boot don't fit NASCARs' style. It would kick ass. I took a walk back there one time. The thought of it put me back on my heels ect ect.
Just curious, has anyone been to both Infineon and the Glen? I visited Sonoma last year and looked like if you were in the right place, such as turn 2 or 3 and 3a, you could see the entire track. My understanding is that the Glen isn't like that.
