Now that's what I call a Diehard Robby Collecting Fan!!!!!! Nice catch!!!!
Another fine catch!!!! And I thought Path was a collector!!! She fails in comparison!!!!
Dammit Rick! I was hoping that that one would go unsold so I could buy it next time it was listed. Oh well it will show up again. Nice Find.

And I only set limits for cars that I know arent as rare. But I had to buy this one. This was the first time is was on ebay since february.
Yea the Matco stuff is harder to find. Especially the 1/64th haulers that have Coors Light on them. The only one I have is the Sabco hauler.
Congrats on the catch. Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet to get a car that you want for your collection. I really need to go through my collection and see what I am missing. Of course, it would help if I ever finished my display project I have been sorta working on for months...lol.
You mean the #7 FOTL car?
Yea I bought it for 175 bucks on ebay in early august.
Hate to dig this post up, but man did I just luck out. Found one for $50 Buy It Now and its signed. Not the best signature but its authentic. I held back my excitement until it came in the mail today before posting. Kinda hope the person isnt a member here. Hate to say I ripped them off because they set the price, and I paid it.

My point more is less is does anybody know why some of the 2005 cars are so tough to find? The 05 FOTL and Red Bull are just down right nasty to find. An easy 4 years of searching to find this FOTL. Odd thing is the 55 FOTL are a dime a dozen, I sold a signed one for like $18 last year.

I was under the impression that the cars were not ran anywhere close to the maximum 2,400 production run the box says. Seeing as how alot of RG's cars end up getting canceled (Operation Homefront 2x, Monster 1x, Camping World 2x, etc) I wonder if sales in 05 showed something that impacts the lack of his diecasts today.
You know what Team Caliber did, Yes the box says a MAXIMUM of 2400 but that doesnt mean that 2400 were produced. If you look at all of the TC stuff all the production numbers are dividable by 600 which was their run size. If the FOTL car was selling good they would make another run of 600 and another run of 600 if they needed it but since they left RGM before the year was over the demand was not high and only 600 were made. Same with the Red Bull and others. This was told to me by a former Team Caliber dealer.
I used to be friends with a rep and he told me something very similar now that you mention it. He also said some of the runs that ended in 4's, did so that a round number could go public. Look at the 2002-2003 and you will see they are 1 of 504 or 5,004 etc. Roush would keep #1-3 for himself and the driver would get the drivers number.

That said, of the Rolex Color Chromes (204 Made) or the Jim Beam Red Chrome (600 Made), Ive seen those two cars 10 times more than the FOTL or Red Bull. Something doesn't make much sense with this picture.
It might be that people really like the FOTL and Red Bull cars more than the Rolex Color Chrome or Jim Beam Color Chrome...thus, they hold onto the FOTL and RB cars and sell the others. Just a hairbrained theory from someone who is tired.
