I've been interested in making a custom for quite some time now. I always figured i lacked the skill/talent needed to actually produce an acceptable looking diecast. Well, I decided to go for it and I'm pleased with the almost final result. Just gotta add a few coats of laquer, pop the windows in, and put it on the car and it'll be good to go. Sorry for the poor quality pics.

Thanks for looking. Feel free to comment or whatever makes ya happy.

nice job. Make sure you take a photo of the final product.
Dude looks pretty good, I too have decls that I have had for quite some time. My concern has been, that the decals would appear kinda transparent, how do we prevent this? i attached one of my older collection picts, but have 2 of these cabinets full of just his cars. I have decals for: offroad, com, & Navy Busch car he drove for JR motorsports a few years back. Keep me informed on how your final finished car turns out man!
Take care,
& Go Robby!

Wow! Awesome collection dude! SO jealous of the red bull and fotl cars.... As for the decals- The numbers seem to be the only ones that might not hold up. So far, everything else looks okay but you can already see through the roof and left side numbers. Then again, the car is only a day old so it could all go down from here. I'm already hooked on these customs though and I'm ordering the decals for his Montreal WIN car as we speak.
On the Diecast Crazy website, some of the guys who do customs say they have to double the decals (or more) that end up looking transparent. The car does look good though.
nice job Kyle, lookin good so far
Well here's what the final product ended up looking like. I guess I'm happy. Turned out better than I could have asked considering it was my first custom.

I DO have a question though, does anyone know where I can get the 2008 Monster energy and operation homefront decals?? SMH doesn't have them and I'm really not sure where else to look. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It turned out pretty good man. Was that clear coated as well? Im attaching my more recent diecst picts, which show it to be more uptodate than my previous picts. I look forward to trying this on my own as well.
