Yep, be prepared for anything and everything that could happen in Baja. Here's to a great race!
RG is not shown on IRC tracking, ????
Little Course Update:

During prerunning the Loreto Valley silt bed was getting really bad. Prerunners were getting stuck. Score's original plan was to send a blade and two water trucks down to that part and try to fix it. I guess the attempt was not successful and Score knew come race time this would be a graveyard. So yesterday afternoon Score made the decision to re-route the course and bypass the silt bed.

The last time I know of Score doing this was in 2003. We had a silt bed that was close to a mile long and then the week before the race Baja had terrible rains in this area making it impassable. During our prerun of this silt bed we saw TT prerunners buried with blown transmission trying to get threw it. Score had to re-route the course, which come race day helped a bit, but the first smaller silt bed that was kept became a huge silt bed and it became the race car graveyard.

Course Update;

Due to major impassible silt, we have made a course change which adds a new Speed Zone, called SZLoreto.

-At race mile 739+ (400 feet before VCP 11), the new course makes a left turn, so VCP 11 has been somewhat squeezed.

-After 2.0 miles, the new course makes a right turn onto HWY 1 @ KM43.

-The new course runs HWY 1 for 7.0 miles, and then makes a right turn off HWY 1 @ KM 31. At this location there is a small market with a big dirt turnout, so maybe you can find this on Google Earth for reference.

-After 0.6 mile, the new course merges with the original course at race mile 745+. I believe this merging point is at VCP 12.
Thanks for the update Nikal.
