The following standings have been tabulated off of the Baja 500 official results posted on the Score site after the penalties were given.

7. Roger Norman 155
8. Robbie Pierce 151
9. Cameron Steele 148
10. Mark Post 134

A lead of 29 points for Robby, but that would change in a hurry if he doesn't run Primm in September.

The Cup cars are in Richmond that weekend. I wonder if Robby will make the trip to Nevada? Hope so.

I'd love to see him at Primm, since it's minutes from my house, but logistically I don't see how he can unless he lets someone like Travis drive the car at Richmond. Owner points are the important part, not driver points. So why not?

so who do you guys think was cutting the course,i heard that normans chopper was the one to report it,they said somewhere around the beach area right??????

Hey, Robby got away with it, why wouldn't the other guys give it a shot? It seems a couple of people are being looked at for course cutting and other violations. Robby inculded.

I changed this discussion to reflect the current points totals. Sucks that Robby was penalized into a 7th place finish, but it is what it is. Glad to see that nearly all the trophy trucks were given a penalty, so it looks as though a individual team wasn't singled out. Hopefully this will lead to safer racing with clean & exciting finishes. That said, irregardless of the results, this was a pretty sweet Baja 500.

i wanna know what robbys reaction to this is,im sure he either was pretty pissed off or new it was coming ,but anyways i think its a load of crap but i guess it is what it is,its like someone said earlier is sal talking to nascrap.pissed me off.
