Ride in Peace, Doriano.
As some may have surmised,I'm not a huge fan of SuperMoto,it's hurt mamed or kill many talented riders
God Speed Doriano.
Former Grand Prix and World Superbike road racer Doriano Romboni was killed today during practice for a charity Supermoto event in Italy. Ironically, the event was being held in memory of MotoGP star Marco Simoncelli. Romboni was 44 years old.
Romboni was one of several stars taking part in the event, joining the likes of Max Biaggi in the Sic Supermoto Day at the Latina Circuit. According to reports from Italy, Romboni crashed in the practice session and was struck by another rider. The Italian was airlifted to the Santa Maria Goretti hospital, but succumbed to his injuries. After Romboni’s accident, racing at the event was cancelled.
Romboni won six Grands Prix from 1990 to 1995 in the 125 and 250cc classes and also earned a rostrum finish in the Dutch 500cc Grand Prix in 1997. His last victory came in the 1995 Brazilian 250cc Grand Prix.
In 1999, Romboni moved to the World Superbike Championship on a privateer Ducati. For the past three years, Romboni has been the director of the Puccetti Racing Kawasaki team.
According to Max Biaggi's Twitter feed, Marco Simoncelli's father, Paolo, says the event will resume tomorrow to support Romboni's family. Rombini was a father to three children.

Glad to Know this STUD and amazing tallent. We spent some time with Kurt on Wednesday evening in OJOS and he was so prepared to Win the Baja and and he was well on his way to the Victory, and ready to bring the Dakar Trophy to the Stars and Stripes.
Harts and Prayers to his Family and Fiance
