MXA didn't do a story on the vintage bikes, but the guys in the Northwest that have been getting their ass's hand'd to them (like my boss) Jim Anderson whip'd all the 50+ in England.
Nice find Will. Great video. Jaw dropped at the 19:15 mark as Bob Ewing asks for a cigarette while fuel is being poured. Those were the days. The 4th place Greeves 250 was wonky but a good reliable desert bike. The Greeves 360 came out late '67 but shook like a mutha eating crank bearings like M&M's.
How do you like your Husky, Will?
WARNING; 30 minutes to watch. Victors H&H in 1967 as filmed and narrated by Bruce Brown. It looks to be a pre-run of the tricks he used to make On Any Sunday. It's really neat that a bunch of the guy's in this race are the still around and in the same clubs they were in then. As much as things have changed, some things are still the way they were then. I can tell the club of the rider by the colors, and we still call the check cards "tank cards" even though the rules have placed them on the front fender. No more burning tires on the bomb, lime in the desert, smoking in the pits etc. but racing continues with the same spirit today. Here's the Youtube link, enjoy - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3a64niu0db8
