Thank's for that! I'm waiting for the guy to call me back with a reply to my offer. All of my Husky experts are agreeing that I'm good on this. The dude just hit me up at the Costco gas pumps because of my t-shirt, it was his father in law's bike.

It looks to have the correct pipe, fenders and seat. Here's a OEM tank for maybe reasonable money http://goo.gl/nEvwbX

$1200 was my thought also. No OEM tank, however the thing is very clean. I'm looking at an investment that I can race with a "for sale" sign on it with this one.

If the sellers doesn't have the OEM tank deduct $300

Here's a riding bike I checked out today. Asking $1500, what would be a good offer? It's a '75 WR 250 with very little rust, and it started right up. My only problem is '75 is the bump out from vintage to classic in our format.

For riding value. I don't buy bikes to look at.

For investment value or slobber over value?

Mecum Auction results from Santa Monica

Steve McQueen's 1931 Harley-Davidson. No Sale. High Bid: $75K

Dennis Hopper's 1968 Husqvarna 250 T Commando. No Sale. High Bid: $30K

Steve McQueen's 1971 Husqvarna 400 Cross. No Sale (again). High Bid: $50K

IMO the most desirable bike of the lot is Hopper's Commando.
