Jan 4th Dakar Rally Stage 2 Race Chat

Join us for the Dakar Rally's second day on Jan 4, 2009 , right here and chat about the action during the 2nd stage.

Stage 2 - Sunday, January 4
Santa Rosa > Puerto Madryn
Connection: 0 km | Special: 237 km | Connection: 600 km | Total: 837 km
The longest stage of the rally will not necessarily be the most difficult. However, it should still be approached with vigilance and, above all, will a complete set of rally equipment. After a rapid first part of the special, a foretaste of sand will be proposed. On the off-roads of this stage, copilots will need to pay careful attention to their course. The more distracted will begin to “turn in circles”.

Well, it has been fun, but now that Robby has crossed the stripe for Day 2, I am going to go grab some shut eye...my afternoon nap from yesterday is wearing off.

i wish i could go to sleep... i have to finish watching Ryan's practice in Daytona now! Just as Robby's ends, his starts! I've been up since 3:30 and i'm sleepy

Who said there wasn't plenty racing to keep one occupied in the off-season :)
I've enjoyed following karting, Baja, Dakar and Rolex, I even had a friend in MI that did an exhibition mower/arena style. :)

Ryan is with Colin Braun in Rolex, right?

Bike update:
Jonah Street finished 5th in today's stage which initially moved him up to 3rd overall before receiving a 6 minute penalty dropping him back to 5th.
Steve La Roza finished 117th today dropping a few positions to 93rd overall.
Thierry Mas finished 152nd moving him up 26 spots to 145th overall despite being slapped with a 3 minute penalty.
