As shown by the pic of the car spinning, the decals went on for race day.

Best I can tell the Side design at Daytona was more of "remnants" of the old Adam Petty inspired design he used to run (that design and those lines lined up almost perfectly shape wise).

No idea about the lower grille decal but I figured the foglights are probaly off because of where the brake cooling ducts are. http://www.planetrobby.com/photo/2011-las-vegas-preview-2

Now that I think of it the Lower Grille decal may be off for the same reason, to much of it would be "cutout" for the brake ducting openings that it's easier/cheaper just to leave it off.

As evident by that picture I linked to above the cutout area for the brake cooling is huge/awkward shaped compared to what they ran back on well what would now be an ARCA car (the last body style with the full uninterrupted nose piece)

Random question...

I noticed that the Phoenix car and this week's car don't have the lower grill decal and the fog light decals. What's the determining factor on when those are run? Same with the side vent decal that was run at Daytona?
