I went to the race yesterday )Saturday), and Robby and BJ were neck and neck going into the 2nd lap, then Robby was a no show on the next lap and BJ was spanking everyone, till he had 2-flats on the same lap. Bryce Menzies blew away the field on Saturday. Must be nice to have a rich Dad.

@mike bb have a Y block design  different diameter bearing sizes and different style cap bolts and larger bottom end /crank/overall size and material  much  stonger engine   im a huge   small block fan    ls  series are the shit but i think robby depends on rpms  to much

@William, What does LS vs BB have to do with it? Robby has had success for several years using the LS.I 've always thought bore/stroke ratio, cam, intake, and cylinder heads make torque/horsepower.The block architecture merely contains the components. IMO

ls series 6 /7/9   engines are small  block  engines       bj   baldwin uses a 455  cu in  big block engines  big block offer more torque    but  less rpm   and  more   dependability   With  the larger tire , bigger, and  hill bumps  GOTTA have  the  change

@William, do you mean old school BB,or big displacement? Robby uses in LS big displacement engine (you can tell by the exhaust note/firing order.

How does he blow up with all the technology available? Magnaflux, rev limiters, professionals that build the motors?

He was 100-150 miles into this engine. Ouch....
