My truck was built for Jimmy Smith of Ultra Wheels in 1992 as a class 1 vehicle as Trophy Truck did not start until 1993. Robby Gordon drove the truck a few times with Jimmy Smith. The truck went to the Herbst in 1996 and Mike Smith did a overhall and the Herbst boys raced it through mid 1999. The Truck was bought in 2000 by Pete Estler and Mike Grifth of Excite.com a startup search engine company. They raced and finished the Baja 2000 race with Scott Douglas as the third driver. I bought the truck in late 2001 and have been racing since Laughlin 2002. The truck has been getting some major upgrades and will be racing at the Baja 1000 in November. This weekend we are racing in the Powder Puff race in Barstow and my wife Kellyann will be driving #7.
