dont remember val. did you know sloan is completely gone? its merely a storage area. All races out in that area start about 5 miles South out in the horseshoe pit area,or stateline where HDRA had that drag race starting line. Spectating out here sucks. The only way to watch anything is to sit in some uncomfortable temporary bleachers with a bunch of out of control drunks...Ahhh the good ol'days when you could camp out with your family in the desert and watch a good race. I do remember Roger Mears with his bad to the bone class 7 nissan, and the awesome duels he had with Manny Esquerra had. How about steve kelley,walker evans,rod hall, and even jack johnson??? I was a huge fan of walker evans until this years mint 400 downtown here like the old days.
