2010 Daytona Speedweeks - Sunday, February 14th, 2010 - Daytona 500

Got to the track early again today. Was in line for the track walk at 8 am, but it didn't start until 8:45. It was a cool experience and was free, so if given the opportunity you should do it at least once. Jeff Burton, Clint Bowyer and Dale Jarrett got a ride on the back of the Coke truck, wish we could have gotten autographs but it was nice scenery.

2010 Daytona Speedweeks - Saturday, February 13th, 2010 - Practice, Nationwide & Camping World races

Back to the track, today is going to be a long day. We got to the track around 8am and walked around the merchandise trailers. Danica's was the busiest. I saw Ryan Newman & Jeff Gordon at the Chevy stage. Too bad I missed Jimmie (lol). Oh, I got AJ Allmendinger's autograph.

Cup practice started at 10:30. It was good to see cars back on the track. Robby put down a fast lap, then went to the garage to make some adjustments…

2010 Daytona Speedweeks - Friday, February 12th, 2010 - Rain out

Still cold down here in Daytona and now the day is a washout. The Camping World Truck race has been postponed to Saturday night. The highlight of the day was the awesome filet I had at Gene's Steak House. They rock!

2010 Daytona Speedweeks - Thursday, February 11th, 2010 - Daytona Duals

My first day of Daytona racing was cold but fun. The temps didn't get over 50 and the wind made it feel even colder. Not what I was expecting for Daytona, but it was better than the freezing temps and knee deep snow back home.

The Sprint FanZone was awesome, I definitely recommended it at least once. I was thinking about doing it again tomorrow, but with the rain that's expected, I don't know if there will be any on track activity until the Truck race. We got to see NASCAR…

Nascar pit road rule change

Read at Jayski and heard on Rowdy.com that Nascar will be changing some pit road rules. This one caught my eye:

Another change this year is if a car is entering pit road or just entered pit road when the caution comes out (thus closing pit road), the driver can go down pit road (without stopping in his stall) while maintaining pit road speed and NASCAR will put the driver back in his spot when he entered pit road. indy 500/ indy car series

i think it would be great to get away from nascar and back to indy car with the loos of sponsership for next year...also in my opinion i think with the move to indy car it would also make you more competative and possibly a top driver/team in the series.. just a thought.. would love to see it... at least race in the indy 500, u have been so close a few times.. i think u gott it!

MORE CARS for JB MOTORSPORTS!

I have added a new dirt car to the team and I will test and tune in two weeks in Pahrump! Lot's to do on it as it has been sitting for 3 years...Have made a lot of changes on the current car which will probably be a dirt car primarily (and a back up for the asphalt) as it does better on dirt!
