the car is very fast, but he is handicapped by weight compared to the other 2WDs. Nasser's and Chicherit weight 1500kg, and the Hummer weights 1,900kg the same as the 4wd mini of Peterhansel.
I want one of those sweatshirts, with all the sponsor logos.

Gas on Robby

Its kind of a hard pill to swallow for most, but I fully understand where RG is coming from.Listening to the audio from the roof cam,its obvious RG&KW are being conservative. If what RG says is true, and im sure he is, Nasser is doing just what RG stated will raise enough eyebrows to potentially put some handicap on the long wheel travel cars. I see in the future, a class of just Jefferies, and RGM type 2wd's coming.

These are the set or rules. You must follow the set of rules. Under no circumstances are you aloud to deviate from the set of rules. BUT if you win too much, following the stated set of rules, we will change the rules with little or no warning.

He meant in the future buggies, or two wheel drive vehicles like theirs, will be handicapped/slowed in future Dakars, because of their current performance. Just speculation on his part though.

Is Robby saying that too many stage wins this year will hurt his chance of winning next year? I don't understand the connection. Anybody up for explaining this?

Maybe I know... Is he saying that if his car proves to be fast this year - aka stage wins, the ASO would be more likely to restrict the 2wd drive cars even more next year?

great to see his attitude for sure, he just wants to win this thing. He gives props for the other guys and gives us all hope that we will see him next year. I personally am very disappointed with the coverage in the US, lost potential for this epic race.

Gas On Robby !!!!

Robby Gordon still has the fire inside to win this event overall, even if it most likely won't happen this year; that's really awesome to hear. The motivation to keep tackling this event until he makes that win happen, a win with his own built-up team; pretty inspirational for me. The South American fans love him, he's getting increasing support from US fans, and it's really good exposure for Speed Energy as a brand. Onto Stage 7!
