love those last words.... and the smile too.
Well, if Nasser is lying then he got Karma coming this week. That buggy will implode on the second last day, just to make it as cruel as possible
You see, every year it's the same, thats how ASO works, they have there favourits and it will never change, it's about that for 25 years...It's poison.French BS..I'm discusting over aso.
you got to love rg last few words .... i did have a good laugh !!!!
Assume the 5th - 9th place finishers crossed the river when it was high water and essentially they got lucky getting across. Perhaps they passed other drivers who were already stuck in the river. The last few who made it across made it by the skin of their teeth. The officials need to consider the craziness of what is going on as the danger increases as the river rises.
To award Peterhansel's time seems crazy. Robby is correct. Very few achieve Peterhansel's time.
What about calling the race at the way point before the river? Would not this be a better way of handling it?
As for Nasser, as much as I don't want this to happen, he dodges a bullet. It seems the first order of business is to red flag the race fairly.
Nasser is tight with the ASO! You got $$, we will make it right for you whenever we can! Enough said! Sucks for the competitors that race hard, especially for RG.
The ruling is so wrong on so many multiple levels, it defies any logical explanation from the ASO.
Time to give up on the whole Nasser thing and just beat him in the remaining specials.
If they hadn't red flagged the race there is no way the mini pulls Nasser out of the ditch and with the trucks not racing, Nasser would have to flash cash to 1 of the cars lower down in the overall to try and pull him off.
Yeah, it took a while to get the straight dope on Nasser, didn't it ?
Those who were stopped by the river should get the free pass. Those who never even made it there should not.
I may be wrong about this, but didn't the earliest reports say that Nasser was the first one to radio in, calling for the red flag ? I may be wrong about that though.
But the show must go on, and right now Nasser and Peter are the two making up the show at the front, so I can also understand where the organizers would want to preserve that battle.
