Kevin! Always fun when you show up! Come on, tell us tales of South America! Are you going this year?
@Mike at 1:51 that's Sheldon still in his helmet(now a Traxxas sponsored driver) pounding fists with the winner Brooks
@Mike, Pissed yes for sure, boxing a guy still strapped in the seat? Get him out of the truck helmets off and fight like a man ......(No guns) sorry love that movie. Is it a fight if they both have helmets and fire suits on ? Looks as though they have worked things out. Oh ya cool video !
Thanks Mike.
Nobody can race and say they did it alone, and Lady Luck is always along for the ride, but SST can boast that it's more about the drivers than any other series. I hope the investors go another year.
Great piece. Exciting beginning to end. A roll-over turns into quite a dirt scraping experience, crazy! Great footage. Love the fight too. I'm beginning to think, "What's a short course race without a fight?"
IMO, bumping on purpose ruins racing. Hard fought, skilled track positioning is what the fan wants to see. A little bumping and scraping is acceptable. Henceforth there's a razor's edge thin line between an acceptable and unacceptable bump. This thin line is part of what makes racing exciting.
I think it was one the San Diego SST races. Sheldon Creed either waited to the end to pass Robby, or he could not get around him, and finished second. In the video Sheldon makes a quick comment about Robby telling him to race clean. Sheldon did. Apparently Sheldon saw moments where he could bump and spin Robby, but didn't. I'm sure that on the tight stadium tracks there's plenty of opportunity for this.
My point is that even young Sheldon Creed, who categorically is still a child, has enough self-control to respect racing's code of right and wrong.
Couple of questions: Who are the two guys congratulating each other at the end of this video? And who are the two boxers?
