Fiambala > La Rioja

Connection: 4 km | Special: 253 km | Connection: 261 km | Total: 518 km
As concerns crossings, the day’s special is a concentrate of technique. Various types of dunes will be encountered, including the very formidable “white dunes”. Just three days from arrival, this stage can scramble rankings, especially because the assistance vehicles will not have access to the Fiambala bivouac. The Golden Rule is still: “know how to economize your machine”.

yes that is true but if Miller wins the overall doesn't that take away some of Robby's thunder? He was the first American to win a stage and I am sure he wants to be the first American to win the overall.

HELL NO if Miller wins it was VW that won........If Robby gets a podium finish David beat Gailoth again.

yes that is true, but that is not how history will remember it. It will always be Miller winning as the first American, just like it is Robby winning the first stage (and he was in a VW to do it).

I think that is thru our "robby colored" glasses. In 5 years from now it will not be remembered what make of car Miller was driving it will be that he won. I am not trying to rile anybody up but regardless of what make of car somebody is driving it will be a great thing when an American wins the overall. I am not giving it to Miller yet.

The Spanish driver Carlos Sainz and his French co-pilot Michel Perin have just arrived by helicopter at the bivouac in Fiambala, thus confirming the withdrawal of Volkswagen Race Touareg No. 301, leader of the general standings until the start of the 12th stage this morning.
