Stage 12 - Thursday, January 15

Fiambala > La Rioja

Connection: 4 km | Special: 253 km | Connection: 261 km | Total: 518 km
As concerns crossings, the day’s special is a concentrate of technique. Various types of dunes will be encountered, including the very formidable “white dunes”. Just three days from arrival, this stage can scramble rankings, especially because the assistance vehicles will not have access to the Fiambala bivouac. The Golden Rule is still: “know how to economize your machine”.

Can anyone explain what stage 15 is all about (Sunday)? It it something they count or is it just for show?

it looks legit... cars coming in 191 started the stage way back, plus are 1 1/2 hrs off the stage time.. looks like a real ball buster stage....

Basically Miller is behind by the start gap for tomorrow. So if Miller wants to win this he must pass DeVulvas tomorrow. But Robby just needs to get on DeVulva's ass to win the stage.

usually the final stage there is enough separation that it ends up being more of a ceremonial thing. Of course not every driver follows that. Wasn't there footage from two years ago of RG nearly plowing into the crowd because he was still going balls out on the final day.

I expect if the two VWs are still in this position for the last stage, they just finish in the same order that they started....

Awesome to see Robby third overall. He was way to conservative in the beginning of the race. However the race is now playing to his strengths...GO ROBBY GO!
