Connection: 4 km | Special: 253 km | Connection: 261 km | Total: 518 km
As concerns crossings, the day’s special is a concentrate of technique. Various types of dunes will be encountered, including the very formidable “white dunes”. Just three days from arrival, this stage can scramble rankings, especially because the assistance vehicles will not have access to the Fiambala bivouac. The Golden Rule is still: “know how to economize your machine”.

16:40 - Bike 106 - Orfanos gets a second round... for free...
Started 99th this morning for stage 12, Greek rider Vasileios Orfanos (Honda) checked 68th at CP1, then 93rd at CP2 before making a small navigation error at km 154 of the special stage... that brought him back to ... km 71! Far from getting flustered, Orfanos is back on trail and is now heading for... CP2!...

took the bikes less than an hour to get from 191 to the finish.. it's been a hour and a half already for the cars

its raining.. do you suppose a bridge or river has made the course impassable? Im really worried they will throw the whole stage out. Of course with Sainz out, it would be somewhat to our advantage in one way, but with Roma nowhere to be seen im liking where we are
