Does anyone know what the purse is for winning or total for the Dakar?

AND YES, I KNOW IT'S NOT ENOUGH OR WHY THEY DO IT!

thats pretty sad....nothing compared to most of the nascar events lol. This is a race that people die in....Hazard pay lol?

Atleast you make around 32 grand if you finish dead last in a nascar race

Actually, it's about 70 grand. for 43rd in a cup race.

No matter what the purse, Robby was 3rd overall and got something. The DNFs got zero. Robby admits he runs NASCAR in order to help pay for his off-road fun. But he has good sponsors too. When you consider he was second to VW - all I can say is WOW - they had tons of money to spend, and Robby was there with them and his 2nd Hummer was in the top 15! His main reward this year is HUGE bragging rights. Joan
