Stage 13 - Friday, January 16

La Rioja > Cordoba

Connection: 161 km | Special: 545 km | Connection: 47 km | Total: 753 km

After having swallowed thousands of kilometers, participants will face a first-class physical challenge in this next-to-the-last stage. State-of-the-art pilots must maintain their position, while amateurs must avoid an excess of confidence. Errors can leave bitter memories, since this will be the day of cacti. At the bivouac, doctors will no doubt be called on to wield the tweezers. Finally, for the experts of traditional rallies, certain routes are part of the patrimony of the World Cup that takes place every year in Cordoba. Here, aficionados will guarantee a large popular fiesta.

Robby wont be able to make up 1:18 unless someone has a problem. He has 4 1/2 hours up on 4th place.He should stay close to the leaders but not push to hard and lose the podium finish. It will kill the French ASS O to have two Americans on the podium. GO ROBBY......................GREAT JOB !!!!

The French dont say much, but a lot of the other Euro media, especially the Brits, and all the Argentines love Robby. He's the cowboy that they think all Americans are, and the Hummer gets lots of attention.

But Robby competiting - and beating- the big factory teams is like an American high school soccer team showing up and making the finals at the World Cup. Unless one or two of the veedubs has a problem today, they will get to stand two rungs higher on the podium than Robby at the awards. It my guess thats about 5 million bucks a vertical inch.

Here is something to think about and add to the ASO conspiracy thoughts - - since ASO also runs the Tour de France do you think that next year there will be doping tests especially when Miller and Robby are on the podium. Think Lance Armstrong. Or do they already do doping tests?
