Stage 13 - Friday, January 16

La Rioja > Cordoba

Connection: 161 km | Special: 545 km | Connection: 47 km | Total: 753 km

After having swallowed thousands of kilometers, participants will face a first-class physical challenge in this next-to-the-last stage. State-of-the-art pilots must maintain their position, while amateurs must avoid an excess of confidence. Errors can leave bitter memories, since this will be the day of cacti. At the bivouac, doctors will no doubt be called on to wield the tweezers. Finally, for the experts of traditional rallies, certain routes are part of the patrimony of the World Cup that takes place every year in Cordoba. Here, aficionados will guarantee a large popular fiesta.

ROUTE CHANGE
Due to the torrential rain that has fallen last night in the areas of La Rioja and Cordoba making the route of today’s special stage completely impassable - at least in its first part - the organizers have decided to change the route of stage 13. The contenders will drive in liaison on the road for 364 km to get to the original CP4 where the start of the 13th special stage will take place at 11:30AM with French biker Cyril Despres (KTM), winner of yesterday’s stage, starting first. The contenders will then race a 220 km special stage, before adding up another 47 km liaison that will take them to Cordoba, the finish of this 13th stage.
