After having swallowed thousands of kilometers, participants will face a first-class physical challenge in this next-to-the-last stage. State-of-the-art pilots must maintain their position, while amateurs must avoid an excess of confidence. Errors can leave bitter memories, since this will be the day of cacti. They just about have it now, with Miller nearly two minutes up at 478km

Miller is 1:46 ahead so far in this stage

De Villiers was 2:35 ahead in the overall at the start of the day

So De Villiers is 49 seconds ahead now?
