I believe Joe Gibbs when he says that he and Home Depot are in it for the long haul and are prepared for the bumps and lumps along the way. The kid did well on Saturday night and brought the car home in one piece on Sunday.
What I see happening just down the road is sponsors becoming more impatient with veteran drivers who aren't cutting the mustard.
Until RGM get a solid handle on the Setup and Race Trim for the COT on the intermediate tracks we will see more of the same. Testing during practice will eliminate some of the mechanical issues but an hour practice session is not going to give the team the data needed to figure out how to loosen or tighten the COT in response to changing track conditions. MWR, Red Bull have it figured out, so why can't Robby? We know that given an equal car, he will beat them most times.
just hate to see promos for nascar and there is logano with all the other top tier drivers.have they ever done this with any unproven rookie??
as far as robbys performance this year it looks like same as last year and heading the wrong direction.
but i will still hold out hope he can turn it around.HEY HE IS STILL AHEAD OF JR IN THE POINTS.
It has been two races! I know its been a dismal two races but it can and, I believe, it will get better. The top 35 will correct itself, just like the go or go home guys will begin to taper off...This happens! We know Robby has had better results in the past at this point. It seems like the one wild card to not make the top 35 is Lagano. Didnt we see young rookies turn choke artist in similar top level rides? Casey Atwood comes to mind as the last one...anyone know any others?
It is even funnier that you got your sights on bashing out anyone who is hoping for a solid season. Everyone was never predicting a top 15 and multiple wins...I was, a few others, but far from everyone! Funny how the bad runs bring out the told ya so crowd! I bet you told the Cardinal fans they were on the Kool aid last year, yeah?
Struggling to stay in the top 35 isnt "funny" and I dont think Robby will be worried about the top 35 here after Atlanta when the field has 4 races under it...So two good finishes means I will blog on how funny that the haters hate!
So is it prescription, or "self prescribed" medication that your on, Eric? Not that I'm complaining, I certainly remember you before you were on the goof balls. This is improvement, biiiig improvement.
shit i am not going to lie about it. when the network is focused on the front runners and they say "caution on the track" first thing i say is "oh shit" and start looking for the 7 piled up....LOL
I feel your passion for Robby and the RGM team! I agree, It looked like a "kick the Shit" out of him party cause something went wrong! I try to keep a positive outlook but I get SLAMMED when I predict anything better than 20th place. I cant say anything good about Robby in Nascar without a pile of jokes about Kool aid, Pom Poms, ect.. I stayed off this site for this reason....It seems like people refuse to accept diverse opinions....
I think we need a refresher on what a fan is for some of these folks....cause there are more than one kind and some cant figure that out!..we can all agree Gas On..no?
