I just figured the owners points & RG is in 29th with 342 total pts.
The #7 team is
19pts behind the #47 team in 28th
6 pts ahead of the #34 team in 30th
I was at the race today and listened to Robby all day, he had a great car on long runs, if it hadn't been for those 2 stupid cautions, he would have had an easy Top-15, he had a Top-20 going until that damn tire. If he gets a little luck for a while, the Top-15s will start rolling in.
After a while though one tends to make their own luck. Point being, I don't think it's necessarily all coincidence that these bouts of "bad luck" are happening, unfortunately.
I'm still happy with 26th, given the pit penalty, shredded tire, and everything else

JMO but I'm betting that alot of teams left Atlanta scratching their heads wondering "what the hell"? One loose tire sure threw a wrench in it for a whole lot of teams. Alot of them were teams that don't run 1 or 2 laps down more than afew races per year. Things snowballed for alot of the teams but I agree that to a certain extent you do tend to make your own luck. I don't know whats missing in the adjustment field, but I think that it needs work. I don't have the answer. Do they do what RG calls for or just go with what Kirk wants to do? I will say this much, listening to Kirk on the scanner I'm more & more impressed with his ability to lead the team whether its talking to the crew or just calming down the driver.
