The 4x4 has been retired. This is one of the brand new 'old school' trophy trucks they have been building for a while. I am not a fan of the looks of the hood. The grille opening is odd. My gut is they didn't need Monster for the race budget, they needed the brand to keep their investors from rioting. 'What do you mean we lost a Billion dollars but you are still running your multi million dollar race program?' They pulled their horns in because it was smart business not because they are broke and brought Monster on for the same reasons.
You would have to be pretty stupid to lose the fortune that family has amassed. They are far from stupid and far from poor regardless of how ETT does.
Expect them to give Robby a run for the money as long as they have the new truck bugs shaken out of it.

You are right................I stand corrected. That is one of the 3 new one that they have been building. The odd grill opening is because its a Dodge not a Ford, and the grill is missing in the pic.
It must be hard to keep your mind on racing when you family business is going bust. wonder how much revenue the gas staions and video poker machines really bring in? The exces at MGM Mirage where happy to unload Primm on them. Wonder if this affects the Primm SCORE race there or the banquet?
No it should not effect the Score Primm 300 or the Awards banquet. Score, BITD, Snore and the new Lucas Oil Short Course series all bring in big revenue for the Primm Valley Resorts. You figure there are about 6+ desert races a year in the Primm area where the racers are using the hotels, and you now have the new Lucas Oil Series that I think will be making 2 stops in Primm this year. Oh and the American Sand Drag Association races once a year there too!
BTW the new Herbst TT is bad ass! The body is ok looking and that could change. Herbst are using the body that Collins had made for their Dodge TT. BTW when the grill is in and the body is painted the Dodge body looks really cool! I would guess due to the budget it made more since to buy a body then to make there own like in the past. But I'm sure that might change when the other two identical trucks are done. Same deal with the shocks. They have always had Mike Smith, who runs their shop build custom shocks and the new TT has Fox Shox's on it. I would guess that is also because it will be more cost effective to buy from Fox for all three TT's then to have to make all those shocks in house.
See now that makes sense. I should add, I in no way was was trying to dicredit the Herbsts. Maybe that didn't come off in type, as clear as it was in my head. Thanks for the info Nikal, hopefully it won't look so "rushed" when it is all done.
ETT Gaming is owned by the kids (Ed, Tim, Troy) The gas stations and ETT are their high profile businesses. They could delete both of those businesses from their portfolio and still be worth a fortune. The bulk of the gas stations sit on property owned privately and leased to Terribles. Just the apartment complexes they own would make most of us rich beyond our imaginations. I seem to remember they own a piece of property that a major casino sits on with a long term ground lease. I am sure there are tons of other ventures making them bank. Doesn't Jerry own a piece of Edelbrock?
While I am sure it's not fun when one of your ventures is taking a dump it's not like they are going to be homeless or even off the list of richest people in Vegas regardless.
The picture is above is before they took it out for it's first test in Barstow last week. The test went great but they did roll it over meshing up the body some what, but you rather do it testing than the race, the TT should be great, but with anything in the desert, new vehicles always have problems. The more race miles on the truck will make it bullet proof just like Robby's truck. Should be insane seeing all those Moster Chase trucks driving everywhere trying to follow their TT and Class Truggy in Baja.
The body on the truck looks funny, but anyone that is actually pretending that these guys don't come prepared and aren't as dedicated to off road racing as anyone really just need to quit lying to themselves.
Its about as silly as pretending HMS would collapse when Rick was indicted...
Its just wishful thinking by some people that their off road program will completely go up in smoke
