Hoosier was in around '94 the few teams that actually ran them were making goodyear look bad. They then made a rule change saying all tire suppliers had to bring enough for the full field even though 4-5 teams ran hoosier so they dropped out and goodyear signed an exclusive rights deal.

Even though there are tire issues, somebody still has to win this race and teams will still finish in the top 10. Why can't it be RG who backs into a good finish from a bad situation ?
